Idia’s Community Kitchen believes that
access to good food is a basic right.
Idia’s Community Kitchen are based in East London (near the Pip & Nut office) & one of our 2025 hyperlocal grant recipients.
Set up in memory of Idia, founder Aina’s late daughter, & her passion for helping others - Idia’s Community Kitchen supports local people facing food insecurity, hardship & social isolation.
Their work focuses on creating welcoming spaces to provide nutritious meals, food parcels, and practical support to people in need - all while making sure no food goes to waste. Idia’s wonderful team of volunteers collect surplus food seven days a week from local businesses, to keep their community fed.
